Description of Ministries:

Malawi--Mission Retreat in Malawi on May 5 this year, along with students at St. Brendan school fundraising for schools in Mtepuwa parish. Cameroon Mission--provides financial assistance for schooling, AIDS ministry, and nursing students.

Description of fundraising efforts (if any):

Selling Zikomo (thank you in Chichewa) water, prayer dolls, building bricks, car washes, etc.

Collaboration with individuals or groups outside of the parish/community:

None at this time

Describe visits (if any) between your parish/community and your African Partners:

Pastor and 8 others planned visit to Malawi on May 5.

How is your ministry organized and run:

All by volunteers with support of staff.

Describe Youth Involvement (if any):

7th grade class actively involved in education about Cameroon and Malawi, along with fundraising for both countries.

Describe areas of expertise that exist in your mission work:

Linda Haptonstall has gone to Malawi a number of times and helped establish parish and ministry partnerships between the Archdiocese of Blantyre and parishes/ministries in the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Carolyn and George Brannen have lived and worked in Cameroon.
